Join us on the 21st of March for a very special workshop with Natalia, where you will learn the original 34 mat Pilates exercises, in the original order.
Pilates originated over a hundred years ago and was called Contrology, specifically designed as a system of mind - body conditioning that includes both mat work and specialised equipment, with the equipment (such as the Reformer) practised at the studio, and the mat intended to be practiced as “homework.”*
The mat exercises are part of a system performed in a specific order, and during this workshop you’ll:
Learn each movement in sequence, including the transitions
Develop technique, along with practical tips for each exercise
Build your Pilates knowledge so you can confidently practise mat homework between your Reformer classes
Support and enhance your progress in your Reformer classes
Schedule:
13:30 - 15:30 - Workshop first half
15:30 - 16:00 - 30 min break with refreshments
16:00 - 18:00 - Workshop second half
18:00 - 18:30 - Workshop closure with refreshments
This is a 4 hour workshop and will take place on one Saturday afternoon at BLOC STUDIO in Chapel Allerton (the Reformers will be moved out the way). The workshop will be comprised of two, 2 hour blocks, with a 30 minute break between, plus an optional workshop closure for refreshments and to socialise - a great way to get to know others in the Pilates/BLOC STUDIO community!
